Swann Marx (SATIE), Eduardo Cerpa

TL;DR
This paper develops an output feedback control strategy for the linear Korteweg-de Vries equation using backstepping and Volterra transformations, ensuring exponential stability of the controlled system.
Contribution
It introduces a novel observer-based feedback control design for the linear Korteweg-de Vries equation utilizing backstepping and Volterra transformations.
Findings
Exponential stability of the closed-loop system is proven.
A new observer for the linear KdV equation is constructed.
The control design is validated theoretically.
Abstract
- This paper presents the design of an output feedback control for a linear Korteweg-de Vries equation. This design is based on the backstepping method which uses a Volterra transformation. An appropriate observer is introduced and the exponential stability of the closed-loop system is proven.
