On thermoelectric figure of merit limits of superlattice materials
P.V.Gorskyi

TL;DR
This paper investigates the limits of thermoelectric figure of merit in superlattice materials, showing that while 2D band spectra can boost power factor, they do not enhance the overall figure of merit.
Contribution
It clarifies the impact of two-dimensional band spectra on thermoelectric performance, highlighting limitations in improving the figure of merit in superlattice materials.
Findings
2D band spectrum increases power factor
2D band spectrum does not increase thermoelectric figure of merit
Limits of superlattice materials for thermoelectric efficiency
Abstract
The paper deals with thermoelectric figure of merit of the superlattice materials. It is shown, that two-dimensional character of band spectrum of thermoelectric material may increase the power factor, but not the thermoelectric figure of merit.
