Deuteron form factors in a phenomenological approach
Cuiying Liang, Yubing Dong

TL;DR
This paper investigates the electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron, emphasizing the quadrupole form factor, using a phenomenological Lagrangian approach that includes D-state contributions for improved accuracy.
Contribution
It introduces a phenomenological Lagrangian model explicitly incorporating D-state contributions to better understand deuteron form factors.
Findings
D-state contributions are crucial for accurate quadrupole form factor modeling
The approach highlights the significance of D-state in electromagnetic properties
Results improve understanding of deuteron structure
Abstract
The electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron, particularly the quadrupole form factor, are studied with a help of a phenomenological Lagrangian approach where the vertex of the deuteron-proton-neutron with -state contribution is explicitly taken into account. The result shows the importance of this contribution to the quadrupole form factor in the approach.
