Kaifeng Shi, Zhaolin Lu

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates efficient electro-optical modulators using transparent conducting oxides, showing broadband bias-dependent modulation on various substrates including glass, quartz, and silicon.
Contribution
It extends previous work by demonstrating similar modulation effects on multiple substrates, enhancing the versatility of indium tin oxide-based modulators.
Findings
Successful modulation on glass, quartz, and silicon substrates.
Broadband bias polarity-dependent modulation achieved.
Versatile substrate compatibility demonstrated.
Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate several electro-optical modulators based on transparent conducting oxides. Our previous work demonstrated the modulator structure on glass substrate with broadband bias polarity-dependent modulation. Further exploration shows similar modulation effect of the modulator on quartz and silicon substrate.
