Contribution
It introduces a method for determining beam polarization in the pp o pp\u03b7 reaction with experimental results at specific beam momenta.
Findings
Successful measurement of beam polarization degree.
Method demonstrated with large acceptance and -symmetry.
Data at two different beam momenta.
Abstract
The dynamics of -meson production and the interaction of -mesons with nucleons can be studied using the reaction via measurements of the analyzing power . To this end, we have performed a measurement of the reaction using the WASA-at-COSY detector, which provides large acceptance and is -symmetric. The experiment was carried out for beam momenta of MeV/c and MeV/c. In this article we present a method and results for the determination of the degree of the beam polarization.
