TL;DR
This paper explores proton lifetime predictions in SU(5) grand unification models within pure gravity mediation, highlighting parameter regions with potentially observable proton decay rates.
Contribution
It analyzes proton decay in pure gravity mediation models with non-universal Higgs masses, identifying parameter spaces with testable proton lifetime predictions.
Findings
Gauge coupling unification is generally good in these models.
Proton lifetime can be within reach of future experiments for specific parameters.
Shorter proton lifetimes occur around $m_{3/2} ext{~}60$ TeV and } aneta ext{~}4.
Abstract
We discuss the proton lifetime in pure gravity mediation models with non-universal Higgs soft masses. Pure gravity mediation offers a simple framework for studying SU(5) grand unified theories with a split supersymmetry like spectra. We find that for much of the parameter space gauge coupling unification is quite good leading to rather long lifetimes for the proton. However, for TeV and , for which gauge coupling unification is also good, the proton lifetime is short enough that it could be in reach of future experiments.
