TL;DR
This paper investigates the magnetocaloric properties of Gd3Ir, demonstrating significant entropy and temperature changes suitable for magnetic refrigeration applications.
Contribution
It provides detailed experimental data on the magneto-thermal effects in Gd3Ir, highlighting its potential for cooling technologies.
Findings
Large isothermal entropy change of 4.1 J/Kg
Adiabatic temperature change of 4 K
Relative cooling power of 437 J/Kg
Abstract
Here we report magneto-thermal properties of Gd3Ir compounds using magnetic and heat capacity data. We observed large isothermal entropy change, adiabatic temperature change and relative cooling power are 4.1J/Kg, 4K and 437J/Kg on 50KOe respectively.
