TL;DR
This paper searches for specific B meson decays involving the eta_c meson and potential molecular states, setting upper limits on their branching fractions based on a large dataset from the Belle detector.
Contribution
It provides the first upper limits on branching fractions for these B decays and molecular state candidates, improving constraints on such processes.
Findings
No significant signals observed for the studied decay modes.
Upper limits set on branching fractions ranging from 0.6 to 5.3 times 10^{-4}.
Constraints placed on molecular-state candidates and intermediate resonances.
Abstract
We report a search for decays to selected final states with the meson: , , and . The analysis is based on pairs collected at the resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider. We set 90\% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions of the studied decay modes, independent of intermediate resonances, in the range . We also search for molecular-state candidates in the , and combinations, neutral partners of the and , and a poorly understood state as possible intermediate states in the decay…
