Florian Burger, Karl Jansen, Marcus Petschlies, Grit Pientka

TL;DR
This paper calculates the leading hadronic contributions to the electron and tau anomalous magnetic moments using lattice QCD, confirming previous phenomenological results with systematic uncertainty analysis.
Contribution
It provides a first-principles lattice QCD determination of these contributions, including continuum limit and uncertainty quantification, aligning with phenomenological findings.
Findings
Results agree with phenomenological analyses
Systematic uncertainties are quantified
Continuum limit is successfully taken
Abstract
The leading hadronic contributions to the anomalous magnetic moments of the electron and the -lepton are determined by a four-flavour lattice QCD computation with twisted mass fermions. The continuum limit is taken and systematic uncertainties are quantified. Full agreement with results obtained by phenomenological analyses is found.
