Exact SU(5) Yukawa matrix unification in the General Flavour Violating MSSM
Mateusz Iskrzynski, Kamila Kowalska

TL;DR
This paper explores how the $SU(5)$ boundary condition for Yukawa matrices can be exactly satisfied within the MSSM by introducing specific flavour-violating soft SUSY-breaking terms, and discusses the experimental implications of such a scenario.
Contribution
It demonstrates that non-zero flavour off-diagonal entries in the soft SUSY-breaking sector can achieve precise Yukawa unification in the MSSM, with specific predictions for dark matter and collider experiments.
Findings
Yukawa unification is possible with flavour-violating soft terms.
Large $(m^2_{dl})_{12}$ conflicts with LFV constraints.
Dark matter relic density favors bino-like neutralino in the 200-600 GeV range.
Abstract
We investigate the possibility of satisfying the boundary condition at the GUT scale within the renormalizable -parity conserving Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Working in the super-CKM basis, we consider non-zero flavour off-diagonal entries in the soft SUSY-breaking mass matrices and the -terms. At the same time, the diagonal -terms are assumed to be suppressed by the respective Yukawa couplings. We show that a non-trivial flavour structure of the soft SUSY-breaking sector can contribute to achieving precise Yukawa coupling unification for all the three families. However, large non-zero values of the flavour-violating parameter lead to a strong tension with the Lepton Flavour Violating (LFV) observables. Nevertheless, the LFV problem does not arise when the Yukawa coupling unification requirement is…
