Photon emission within the linear sigma model
F. Wunderlich, B. Kampfer

TL;DR
This paper calculates soft-photon emission rates within the linear sigma model to explore how these emissivities reflect the phase structure of strongly interacting matter.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed calculation of photon emission rates within the linear sigma model, linking emissivities to phase transitions.
Findings
Photon emission rates vary with phase changes.
Emissivities can serve as probes for phase structure.
Results offer insights into strongly interacting matter behavior.
Abstract
Soft-photon emission rates are calculated within the linear sigma model. The investigation is aimed at answering the question to which extent the emissivities map out the phase structure of this particular effective model of strongly interacting matter.
