Julian Heeck, Martin Holthausen, Werner Rodejohann, Yusuke Shimizu

TL;DR
This paper investigates lepton flavor violating Higgs decays within two flavor symmetry models, predicting related decay modes and correlations with neutrino oscillations, motivated by CMS hints of Higgs to mu tau decay.
Contribution
It introduces two models, one based on A4 flavor symmetry and another on L_mu - L_tau gauge symmetry, to explain Higgs to mu tau decay and related phenomena.
Findings
Predicted other non-standard Higgs decay modes
Established correlations with neutrino oscillation parameters
Provided characteristic signatures for each model
Abstract
We study lepton flavor violating Higgs decays in two models, with the recently found hint for Higgs at CMS as a benchmark value for the branching ratio. The first model uses the discrete flavor symmetry group , broken at the electroweak scale, while the second is renormalizable and based on the Abelian gauge group . Within the models we find characteristic predictions for other non-standard Higgs decay modes, charged lepton flavor violating decays and correlations of the branching ratios with neutrino oscillation parameters.
