Search for monotop events using the ATLAS detector at the LHC
Timoth\'ee Theveneaux-Pelzer

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for monotop events with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, setting upper limits on production cross-sections for exotic invisible states associated with top quarks, with no deviations from the Standard Model observed.
Contribution
First search for monotop events at 8 TeV with ATLAS, establishing upper limits on exotic top-associated invisible particle production.
Findings
No deviation from Standard Model observed.
Upper limits set on production cross-sections.
Constraints on models with invisible exotic states.
Abstract
A search for the production of single-top-quarks in association with missing energy performed in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of TeV with the ATLAS experiment is presented. No deviation from the Standard Model prediction is observed, and upper limits are set on the production cross-section for resonant and non-resonant production of an invisible exotic state in association with a right-handed top quark.
