Vitaly Chaban, Julia Voroshylova

TL;DR
This paper improves the Canongia Lopes-Padua force field for pyrrolidinium-based ionic liquids, enhancing the accuracy of property predictions and providing insights into cation-anion interactions in RTILs.
Contribution
It systematically refines the CL-P force field parameters specifically for pyrrolidinium-based ionic liquids, advancing computational modeling capabilities.
Findings
Enhanced force field accuracy for pyrrolidinium RTILs
Deeper understanding of cation-anion binding mechanisms
Improved prediction of physical chemical properties
Abstract
Reliable force field (FF) is a central issue in successful prediction of physical chemical properties via computer simulations. Together with the original CL-P parameters, our force field fosters computational investigation of ionic liquids. In addition, the reported results shed more light on the chemical nature of cation-anion binding in various families of RTILs.
