Regarding the "Hole Argument"
James Owen Weatherall

TL;DR
This paper critiques the Hole Argument in general relativity, asserting that it stems from a misinterpretation of the mathematical formalism, and that proper mathematical practice resolves the issue.
Contribution
It clarifies the mathematical foundations of general relativity, showing that the Hole Argument is invalid when correctly understood.
Findings
The Hole Argument is based on a misleading use of formalism.
Proper mathematical practice blocks the Hole Argument.
The critique clarifies the conceptual understanding of spacetime.
Abstract
I argue that the Hole Argument is based on a misleading use of the mathematical formalism of general relativity. If one is attentive to mathematical practice, I will argue, the Hole Argument is blocked.
