Indirect Influences in International Trade
Rafael Diaz, Laura Gomez

TL;DR
This paper introduces a network-based approach to measure how individual countries influence the global trade market through indirect effects, using the PWP method on the world trade network.
Contribution
It applies the PWP method to quantify indirect influences in international trade networks, offering a novel perspective on global trade dynamics.
Findings
Quantifies indirect influence of countries in trade networks
Demonstrates the applicability of the PWP method in trade analysis
Provides insights into global trade influence patterns
Abstract
We address the problem of gauging the influence exerted by a given country on the global trade market from the viewpoint of complex networks. In particular, we apply the PWP method for computing indirect influences on the world trade network.
