Identification of signal events in a search for $H\to b\bar b$ produced in association with single top quarks
Andrey Popov (for the CMS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper discusses a CMS search for Higgs bosons produced with single top quarks decaying to bottom quarks, focusing on signal discrimination amidst complex backgrounds.
Contribution
It introduces a specific method for distinguishing the Higgs signal from background processes in the challenging $H\to b\bar b$ decay channel.
Findings
Developed a procedure to discriminate signal from background
Addressed the complex multijet final state challenges
Enhanced understanding of $H\to b\bar b$ in single top production
Abstract
The CMS collaboration has performed a search for an associated production of Higgs bosons and single top quarks in the decay channel. The measurement is challenged by a complex multijet final state and an overwhelming background from top-quark pair production. These proceedings address a particular aspect of the search and describe the procedure deployed to discriminate the signal process from backgrounds.
