$\sin^2\theta^{\rm lept}_{\rm eff}$ and $M_W$(indirect) extracted from 9 fb$^{-1}$ $\mu^+\mu^-$ event sample at CDF
A. Bodek (for the CDF Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper presents a precise indirect measurement of the W boson mass and the effective weak mixing angle using muon pair events at the CDF detector, contributing to electroweak precision tests.
Contribution
It provides the most accurate indirect determination of M_W and sin^2θ^{lept}_{eff} from 9 fb^{-1} of data, including systematic and statistical uncertainties.
Findings
Measured sin^2θ^{lept}_{eff} = 0.2315 ± 0.0010
Derived M_W (indirect) = 80.365 ± 0.047 GeV/c^2
Compared results with D0 collaboration data
Abstract
We report on the extraction of and indirect measurement of the mass of the W boson from the forward-backward asymmetry of events in the boson mass region. The data sample collected by the CDF detector corresponds to the full 9 fb run II sample. We measure , and , where each uncertainty includes both statistical and systematic contributions. Comparison with the results of the D0 collaboration are presented.
