Marcos K. Aguilera, Joshua B. Leners, Ramakrishna Kotla, Michael, Walfish

TL;DR
Yesquel is a scalable SQL storage system designed for Web applications, combining the familiarity of SQL with performance comparable to NoSQL solutions, addressing the limitations of existing storage systems.
Contribution
It introduces Yesquel, a new scalable SQL storage architecture optimized for Web applications, bridging SQL support with high performance.
Findings
Supports SQL query language effectively
Achieves performance comparable to NoSQL systems
Addresses scalability challenges in Web storage
Abstract
Based on a brief history of the storage systems for Web applications, we motivate the need for a new storage system. We then describe the architecture of such a system, called Yesquel. Yesquel supports the SQL query language and offers performance similar to NOSQL storage systems.
