TL;DR
This paper calculates next-to-leading order electroweak and QCD corrections for lepton pair production with two jets at the LHC, revealing significant effects in high-energy regions and angular distributions.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed NLO electroweak and QCD corrections for $pp o j j l^- l^+$ including off-shell effects at 13 TeV.
Findings
Per-cent-level total cross section corrections.
Significant distortions in high-energy tails due to electroweak Sudakov logarithms.
Deformations in angular distributions at a few percent level.
Abstract
We compute the next-to-leading order corrections of to the hadronic production of two oppositely charged leptons and two hard jets, , using Recola and Collier. We include electroweak and QCD corrections at the given order and all off-shell effects. We provide detailed predictions for the LHC operating at 13 TeV and obtain per-cent-level corrections for the total cross section. For differential distributions we find significant non-uniform distortions in high-energy tails at the level of several ten per cent due to electroweak Sudakov logarithms and deformations at the level of a few per cent for angular variables.
