Jia-Min Gong, Qi Tang, Yu-Hang Sun, Lin Qiao

TL;DR
This paper investigates how Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction and external magnetic fields influence the geometric quantum discord in a two-spin Heisenberg XX chain, revealing significant enhancement possibilities.
Contribution
It demonstrates that Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction can substantially enhance geometric quantum discord, especially at large D values, and explores effects of magnetic fields and temperature.
Findings
GQDs are maximized as D approaches infinity.
External magnetic fields can enhance GQDs under certain conditions.
Temperature increase can also boost GQDs in specific cases.
Abstract
We studied the trance distance, the Hellinger distance, and the Bures distance geometric quantum discords (GQDs) for a two-spin Heisenberg {\it XX} chain with the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) interaction and the external magnetic fields. We found that considerable enhancement of the GQDs can be achieved by introducing the DM interaction, and their maxima were obtained in the limiting case . The external magnetic fields and the increase of the temperature can also enhance the GQDs to some extent for certain special cases.
