Tunnelling with wormhole creation
Stefano Ansoldi, Takahiro Tanaka

TL;DR
This paper investigates quantum tunnelling involving gravity, specifically focusing on wormhole creation within a spherically symmetric thin-shell framework, and resolves existing controversies through canonical quantization.
Contribution
It provides a fully consistent canonical quantization approach to wormhole production, clarifying previous ambiguities in the literature.
Findings
Resolved a controversy in wormhole creation literature
Developed a canonical quantization framework for tunnelling with gravity
Demonstrated consistent treatment of wormhole production
Abstract
The description of quantum tunnelling in the presence of gravity shows subtleties in some cases. Here we discuss wormhole production in the context of the spherically symmetric thin-shell approximation. By presenting a fully consistent treatment based on canonical quantization, we solve a controversy present in literature.
