Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive calculation of decay amplitudes and angular distributions for Lambda_b and Lambda_c semileptonic decays within a covariant confined quark model, advancing theoretical understanding.
Findings
Calculated invariant and helicity amplitudes for decays.
Analyzed angular decay distributions and asymmetry parameters.
Provided predictions for decay rates and asymmetries.
Abstract
We present a detailed analysis of the heavy-to-light semileptonic decays of the Lambda_b and Lambda_c baryons Lambda_b -> p l- bar(nu)_l and Lambda_c -> n l+ nu_l in the covariant confined quark model. We calculate the invariant and helicity amplitudes of the two processes which are then used to analyze their angular decay distributions, their rates and asymmetry parameters.
