TL;DR
This paper investigates how a strongly magnetized cold plasma influences neutrino-antineutrino pair production via photon-electron interactions, revealing significant modifications to neutrino emissivity in dense media.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed calculation of neutrino emissivity from the process $oldsymbol{ ext{γ} e o e u ar{ u}}$ in strongly magnetized dense plasma, including photon dispersion effects.
Findings
Neutrino emissivity is significantly altered in dense magnetized media.
Both non-resonance and resonance cases are analyzed.
Photon dispersion properties critically impact the process.
Abstract
The effect of a strongly magnetized cold plasma on the Compton-like photoproduction of a neutrino-antineutrino pair on an electron, , has been considered. The contribution of this process to the neutrino emissivity in both the non-resonance and the resonance cases has been calculated with taking account of the photon dispersion properties in medium. Our results show that the neutrino emissivity owing to the reaction is significantly modified as compared to the previously reported data.
