Tibra Ali, S. Shajidul Haque, Vishnu Jejjala

TL;DR
This paper presents a model for large field inflation within heterotic string theory, utilizing a near alignment mechanism and non-perturbative effects to achieve a large effective axion decay constant.
Contribution
It introduces a novel heterotic string theory inflation model combining near alignment with gaugino condensates and instanton effects.
Findings
Achieves a large effective axion decay constant.
Demonstrates compatibility with heterotic string theory.
Utilizes non-perturbative effects for inflation dynamics.
Abstract
We propose a model for large field inflation in heterotic string theory. The construction applies the near alignment mechanism of Kim, Nilles, and Peloso. By including gaugino condensates and world-sheet instanton non-perturbative effects, we obtain a large effective axion decay constant.
