TL;DR
This paper analyzes divergences in loop functions within thermal QCD, providing perturbative calculations of key quantities like the Polyakov loop and Wilson loops, and examining their renormalization mixing.
Contribution
It offers a detailed perturbative analysis of divergences and renormalization properties of loop functions in thermal QCD, which was not comprehensively addressed before.
Findings
Computed the Polyakov loop and correlator perturbatively
Demonstrated how loop functions mix under renormalization
Clarified divergence structures in thermal QCD loops
Abstract
We discuss divergences of loop functions in thermal QCD and compute perturbatively the Polyakov loop, the Polyakov loop correlator and the cyclic Wilson loop. We show how these functions get mixed under renormalization.
