Measurement of the Axial-Vector Coupling Constant $g_A$ in Neutron Beta Decay
Bastian Maerkisch, Hartmut Abele

TL;DR
This paper discusses recent progress in measuring the axial-vector coupling constant in neutron beta decay, which is crucial for understanding the CKM matrix element Vud and testing the Standard Model.
Contribution
It provides updated measurements of the coupling constants g_A and g_V, enhancing precision in neutron decay parameters.
Findings
Improved measurement of the beta asymmetry coefficient A.
Refined determination of the ratio λ = g_A/g_V.
Enhanced precision in neutron lifetime measurements.
Abstract
The matrix element \Vud of the CKM matrix can be determined by two independent measurements in neutron decay: the neutron lifetime and the ratio of coupling constants , which is most precisely determined by measurements of the beta asymmetry angular correlation coefficient~. We present recent progress on the determination of these coupling constants.
