TL;DR
This paper explores classical and quantum chaos using nuclear models, proposing these as effective platforms for advancing the general theory of chaos in physics.
Contribution
It introduces nuclear collective models as new testing grounds for studying chaos in classical and quantum systems.
Findings
Models effectively illustrate principles of chaos
Suitable for testing chaos theories in physics
Bridges classical and quantum chaos understanding
Abstract
We use two models of nuclear collective dynamics - the geometric collective model and the interacting boson model - to illustrate principles of classical and quantum chaos. We propose these models as a suitable testing ground for further elaborations of the general theory of chaos in both classical and quantum domains.
