Analysis of BaBar data for three meson tau decay modes using the Tauola generator
Olga Shekhovtsova

TL;DR
This paper models the tau decay into three pions using Resonance Chiral Theory with a sigma meson, implementing it in Tauola, and fits the model to BaBar data to improve understanding of hadronic tau decays.
Contribution
It introduces a modified hadronic current including the sigma meson into Tauola and demonstrates its fit to BaBar data, advancing decay modeling accuracy.
Findings
Successful implementation of the sigma meson in the decay model
Good agreement between model predictions and BaBar data
Enhanced understanding of three-meson tau decay dynamics
Abstract
The hadronic current for the decay calculated in the framework of the Resonance Chiral Theory with an additional modification to include the meson is described. Implementation into the Monte Carlo generator Tauola and fitting strategy to get the model parameters using the one-dimensional distributions are discussed. The results of the fit to one-dimensional mass invariant spectrum of the BaBar data are presented.
