TL;DR
This paper calculates branching ratios and CP asymmetries for 20 charmless B meson decays involving axial-vector mesons using perturbative QCD, predicting measurable effects at LHCb and Belle II.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed pQCD-based predictions for these specific B decay modes, including CP asymmetries and their potential to constrain CKM phases.
Findings
Large branching ratios (~10^{-6}) for certain decays suggest experimental measurability.
Significant direct CP violations (14-28%) predicted for some decay channels.
Decays with penguin dominance have rates of 10^{-6} to 10^{-5}, suitable for future experimental tests.
Abstract
We study 20 charmless hadronic decays in the perturbative QCD(pQCD) formalism with representing axial-vector mesons and that result from a mixing of quark-flavor and states with the angle . The estimations of branching ratios and CP asymmetries of the considered decays are presented in the pQCD approach with from recently measured decays. It is found that (a) the tree(penguin) dominant decays with large branching ratios[] and large direct CP violations(around 14% 28% in magnitude) simultaneously are believed to be clearly measurable at the LHCb and Belle II experiments; (b) the and decays with nearly pure penguin contributions and safely…
