Travis E. Gibson, Zheng Qu, Anuradha M. Annaswamy, Eugene, Lavretsky

TL;DR
This paper introduces an adaptive output feedback controller utilizing a closed-loop reference model as an observer, ensuring global stability and asymptotic output tracking for certain linear plants.
Contribution
It proposes a novel adaptive control scheme that combines output feedback with a closed-loop reference model for improved stability and tracking.
Findings
Guarantees global stability of the control system.
Achieves asymptotic output tracking.
Demonstrates effectiveness for a class of linear plants.
Abstract
This note presents the design and analysis of an adaptive controller for a class of linear plants in the presence of output feedback. This controller makes use of a closed-loop reference model as an observer, and guarantees global stability and asymptotic output tracking.
