Breaking the Conformal Gauge by Fixing Time Protocols
Lorenzo Fatibene, Simon Garruto, Maurizio Polistina

TL;DR
This paper explores how fixing time protocols with standard clocks in Weyl geometry can determine the conformal gauge in the EPS framework, providing detailed examples to illustrate the method.
Contribution
It introduces a method to fix the conformal gauge using a congruence of clocks in Weyl geometry, expanding the understanding of gauge fixing in the EPS framework.
Findings
Demonstrates fixing the conformal gauge via standard clocks
Provides detailed examples in Weyl geometry
Clarifies the role of time protocols in gauge fixing
Abstract
We review the definition by Perlick of standard clocks in a Weyl geometry and show how a congruence of clocks can be used to fix the conformal gauge in the EPS framework. Examples are discussed in details.
