Comments on the T-dual of the gravity dual of D5-branes on $S^3$
Thiago R. Araujo, Horatiu Nastase

TL;DR
This paper investigates the effects of abelian T-duality on a gravity dual of D5-branes on a G2-structured manifold, revealing a new D4-brane configuration and analyzing its dual field theory implications.
Contribution
It provides the first analysis of the T-dual of a D5-brane gravity background with G2 structure, highlighting the resulting D4-brane configuration and its field theory correspondence.
Findings
T-duality transforms D5-branes into D4-branes with non-trivial antisymmetric fields.
The dual solution exhibits different brane configurations and fluxes.
Insights into the dual field theory dynamics are discussed.
Abstract
We consider an abelian T-duality on a deformation of the gravitational solution of \cite{Maldacena2001}, which is the gravity dual of D5-branes wrapping a three-cycle inside a manifold that admits a structure. Performing the T-duality we find D-branes wrapping a two-cycle with non-trivial antisymmetric fields in the NS-NS and RR sector. We study some aspects of its dual field theory and we compare with the original solution.
