Sticky Particles and Stochastic Flows
Jon Warren

TL;DR
This paper characterizes the behavior of multiple particles in a simplified turbulent flow model, extending previous work on pairwise particle stickiness in low-viscosity regimes.
Contribution
It generalizes the study of particle stickiness from pairs to an arbitrary number of particles in a simplified stochastic flow model.
Findings
Particles exhibit sticky interactions upon meeting.
The model describes the collective behavior of multiple particles.
Stickiness phenomena persist in the simplified regime.
Abstract
Gaw\c{e}dzki and Horvai have studied a model for the motion of particles carried in a turbulent fluid and shown that in a limiting regime with low levels of viscosity and molecular diffusivity, pairs of particles exhibit the phenomena of stickiness when they meet. In this paper we characterise the motion of an arbitrary number of particles in a simplified version of their model.
