Measurement of the electroweak production of a Z boson and two jets in proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8 TeV
Tom Cornelis (for the CMS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports a measurement of the electroweak production cross section of a Z boson with two jets in proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8 TeV, using CMS data, and analyzes the hadronic activity between the jets.
Contribution
It provides the first measurement of this process at these energies and investigates the hadronic activity between the jets, enhancing understanding of electroweak interactions.
Findings
Measured electroweak Z+2 jets cross sections at 7 and 8 TeV.
Analyzed hadronic activity between the two jets.
Results agree with Standard Model predictions.
Abstract
A measurement of the electroweak production cross section of a Z boson and two jets is performed using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. The data is collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC with an integrated luminosity of 5 and 19 fb, respectively. A study on the hadronic activity between the two tagging jets is also presented.
