G. Rong, Y. Fang, H. L. Ma

TL;DR
This paper extracts the magnitudes of the CKM matrix elements |V_{cd}| and |V_{cs}| from recent D meson decay measurements, achieving improved precision and testing CKM unitarity.
Contribution
It provides new, more precise values for |V_{cd}| and |V_{cs}| using leptonic and semileptonic D decays combined with lattice QCD calculations.
Findings
Improved precision of |V_{cd}| and |V_{cs}| compared to PDG2013.
CKM unitarity tests show slight deviations within uncertainties.
Enhanced understanding of quark mixing parameters.
Abstract
With the recent measurements of purely leptonic decays and semileptonic decays in conjunction with decay constants and form factors calculated in LQCD, we extract the magnitudes of and to be and . Compared to those given in PDG2013, the precisions of these newly extracted and are improved by more than 2.0 and 1.5 factors, respectively. With the newly extracted and together with other CKM matrix elements given in PDG2013, we check the unitarity of the CKM matrix, which are , and .
