TL;DR
This paper derives an analytical expression for the decay rate of a metastable vacuum in large N center-stabilized Yang-Mills theory, improving upon previous numerical estimates by including theta dependence and exact large N behavior.
Contribution
It provides the first analytical formula for the decay rate of metastable vacua in large N Yang-Mills theory with a double trace deformation, incorporating theta dependence.
Findings
Analytical expression for decay rate including theta dependence
Exact large N behavior of the decay rate
Improved approximation over previous numerical results
Abstract
We calculate the rate of the decay of a metastable vacuum state in gauge theory on space with a double trace deformation suggested by \"Unsal and Yaffe. The derived analytical expression for the exponential factor in the decay rate, including the dependence on the parameter , gives the exact behavior in the leading power of in the limit of large and provides a better approximation than a recently found in the literature numerical result.
