Improved Theory of Neutrino Oscillations in Matter
Leonard S. Kisslinger

TL;DR
This paper revises the S-Matrix theory of neutrino oscillations in matter, providing a more accurate calculation of transition probabilities that could enhance the analysis of experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces an exact evaluation of the mu to e neutrino transition probability without common approximations, improving theoretical precision.
Findings
Identifies significant differences from previous approximations
Potentially improves neutrino parameter extraction
Enhances theoretical understanding of neutrino oscillations
Abstract
This is revision of the S-Matrix theory of neutrino oscillations used for many years. We evaluate the transition probability of a to neutrino without an approximation used for many theoretical studies, and find important differences which could improve the extraction of neutrino parameters from experimental data in the future.
