TL;DR
This paper investigates rare semi-leptonic B_c decays to orbitally excited mesons within the Standard Model, calculating decay rates and asymmetries using the Bethe-Salpeter approach and considering various quantum contributions.
Contribution
It provides a detailed theoretical analysis of B_c decays to excited mesons, including hadronic matrix elements and gauge-invariant conditions, which advances understanding of these rare processes.
Findings
Decay observables are computed for various meson final states.
The Bethe-Salpeter approach effectively evaluates hadronic matrix elements.
Multiple quantum contributions are considered in the decay analysis.
Abstract
The rare processes , where stands for the final meson , ,~, , or~, are studied within the Standard Model. The hadronic matrix elements are evaluated in the Bethe-Salpeter approach and furthermore a discussion on the gauge-invariant condition of the annihilation hadronic currents is presented. Considering the penguin, box, annihilation, color-favored cascade and color-suppressed cascade contributions, the observables , , and are calculated.
