Heavy WIMP through Higgs portal at the LHC
Motoi Endo, Yoshitaro Takaesu

TL;DR
This paper analyzes constraints on Higgs-portal WIMPs of various spins using 8 TeV LHC data, providing bounds on interaction strengths and discussing future prospects at 14 TeV.
Contribution
It offers the first comprehensive analysis of LHC constraints on scalar, vector, and tensor Higgs-portal WIMPs considering multiple production channels.
Findings
Vector and tensor WIMP interactions constrained to less than 0.43 and 0.16.
Scalar WIMP interactions are weakly constrained.
Future LHC runs at 14 TeV could improve these bounds.
Abstract
LHC constraints on Higgs-portal WIMPs are studied. Scalar, vector and anti-symmetric tensor fields are considered. They are assumed to be heavier than a half of the Higgs boson mass. We investigate 8 TeV LHC results on signatures of the vector boson fusion, mono-jet and associated production of the boson, which proceed via virtual exchange of the Higgs boson. We show that Higgs-portal interactions of the vector and tensor WIMPs are constrained to be less than 0.43 and 0.16, respectively, while those for the scalar are very weak. Prospects of the 14 TeV LHC are also discussed.
