The robust impact parameter profile of inelastic collisions
I.M. Dremin

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the impact parameter profile of inelastic hadron collisions remains consistent despite variations in elastic scattering data, using unitarity and experimental data without relying on phenomenological models.
Contribution
It establishes the robustness of the impact parameter profile in inelastic collisions based solely on unitarity and experimental data, without model assumptions.
Findings
Impact parameter profile is robust to shape variations.
Unitarity and data suffice for profile determination.
No phenomenological models needed for this conclusion.
Abstract
It is shown that the impact parameter profile of inelastic hadron collisions is robust to admissible variations of the shape of the diffraction cone of elastic scattering. This conclusion is obtained using the unitarity condition and experimental data only with no phenomenological model inputs.
