NNLOPS accurate Drell-Yan production
Alexander Karlberg, Emanuele Re, Giulia Zanderighi

TL;DR
This paper introduces a highly precise theoretical model for Drell-Yan lepton pair production that combines NNLO accuracy with parton shower effects, improving agreement with experimental data.
Contribution
It develops a NNLOPS framework for Drell-Yan processes by upgrading NLO calculations with MiNLO and reweighting with DYNNLO, integrating fixed-order and resummed predictions.
Findings
Good agreement with experimental data
Enhanced accuracy over previous models
Consistent inclusion of parton shower effects
Abstract
We present a next-to-next-to-leading order accurate description of Drell-Yan lepton pair production processes through or exchange that includes consistently parton shower effects. Results are obtained by upgrading the vector-boson plus one jet NLO calculation in POWHEG with the MiNLO procedure and by applying an appropriate reweighting procedure making use of the DYNNLO program. We compare to existing data and to accurate resummed calculations.
