TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that spin-0 dark radiation interacting with the early universe's plasma causes negligible spectral distortions in the CMB, making detection extremely challenging.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis showing that spin-0 dark radiation produces undetectably small spectral distortions in the CMB.
Findings
Spectral distortions caused by spin-0 dark radiation are below detection thresholds.
Interaction effects are negligible for current and future CMB observations.
Supports the idea that certain dark radiation components are effectively invisible in CMB spectra.
Abstract
We show that the scattering of a general spin-0 sector of dark radiation off the pre-recombination thermal plasma results in undetectably small spectral distortions of the Cosmic Microwave Background.
