TL;DR
Neutrinos serve as powerful probes for detecting potential violations of Lorentz invariance, with experimental signatures that could reveal fundamental relativity deviations.
Contribution
This paper reviews the generic experimental signatures of Lorentz symmetry breakdown specifically in the neutrino sector.
Findings
Neutrino experiments can detect minute Lorentz violations.
Signatures of Lorentz breakdown include altered neutrino oscillation patterns.
Neutrino observations can constrain theories beyond standard relativity.
Abstract
Neutrinos can be used to search for deviations from exact Lorentz invariance. The worldwide experimental program in neutrino physics makes these particles a remarkable tool to search for a variety of signals that could reveal minute relativity violations. This paper reviews the generic experimental signatures of the breakdown of Lorentz symmetry in the neutrino sector.
