Flare-out conditions in static thin-shell wormholes
S. Habib Mazharimousavi, M. Halilsoy

TL;DR
This paper revisits the flare-out conditions for static wormhole throats and demonstrates that these conditions do not apply to thin-shell wormholes with matter sources on the throat.
Contribution
It clarifies the limitations of generalized flare-out conditions when applied to static thin-shell wormholes with matter sources.
Findings
Generalized flare-out conditions are not applicable to thin-shell wormholes.
Matter sources on the throat affect the applicability of flare-out conditions.
The study refines the understanding of geometric conditions in wormhole physics.
Abstract
We reconsider the generalized flare-out conditions in static wormhole throats given by Hochberg and Visser. We show that due to the presence of matter sources on the throat, these conditions are not applicable to the thin-shell wormholes.
