Medium effect in high-density region probed by nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering
T. Furumoto, Y. Sakuragi, Y. Yamamoto

TL;DR
This study explores how medium effects, including three-body-force contributions, influence nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering at high densities, demonstrating their significant impact on scattering potentials and cross sections.
Contribution
It introduces two methods to analyze the medium effect with TBF in nucleus-nucleus scattering within the double-folding model, highlighting the crucial role of TBF at high densities.
Findings
Medium effect significantly alters the potential and cross section.
Three-body-force effects are crucial up to $k_F =$ 1.6 fm$^{-1}$.
Both methods clearly show the medium effect's impact.
Abstract
We investigate the sensitivity of the medium effect in the high-density region on the nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering in the framework of the double-folding (DF) model with the complex -matrix interaction. The medium effect including three-body-force (TBF) effect is investigated with two methods. In the both methods, the medium effect is clearly seen on the potential and the elastic cross section. Finally, we make clear the crucial role of the TBF effect up to 1.6 fm in the nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering.
