Precise calculation for heavy gauge boson production in the LHT model
Guo Lei, Zhang Ren-You, Ma Wen-Gan

TL;DR
This paper provides a precise calculation of heavy gauge boson production in the Littlest Higgs model with T parity at the LHC, including next-to-leading order QCD corrections and their impact on cross sections.
Contribution
It presents the first NLO QCD calculations for $W_H/Z_H+q_-$ and $W_H$-pair productions in the LHT model, improving theoretical accuracy and analysis methods.
Findings
QCD NLO corrections increase cross sections by 0-43%.
K-factors range from 1.00 to 1.43 for $W_H(Z_H) q_-$ production.
K-factors range from 1.09 to 1.22 for $W_H$ pair production.
Abstract
In the framework of the littlest Higgs model with parity, we study the and -pair productions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider up to the QCD next-to-leading order (NLO). The kinematic distributions of final decay products and the theoretical dependence of the cross section on the factorization/renormalization scale are analyzed. We adopt the PROSPINO scheme in the QCD NLO calculations to avoid double counting and keep the convergence of the perturbative QCD description. By using the subtraction scheme, the QCD NLO corrections enhance the leading order cross section with a K-factor in the range of for production process, and in the range of for the pair production process.
