QCD analysis of forward neutron production in DIS
Federico Alberto Ceccopieri

TL;DR
This paper performs a QCD analysis of forward neutron production in deep inelastic scattering, extracting fracture functions to better understand the process within the fracture functions formalism.
Contribution
It introduces a method to extract proton-to-neutron fracture functions from DIS data, connecting with the factorisation theorem for this process.
Findings
Successful extraction of fracture functions from experimental data
Validation of the fracture functions formalism in forward neutron production
Enhanced understanding of the underlying QCD dynamics in DIS
Abstract
We consider forward neutron production in DIS within fracture functions formalism. By performing a QCD analysis of available data we extract proton-to-neutron fracture functions exploiting a method which is in close relation with the factorisation theorem for this class of processes.
