Assessment Model for Opportunistic Routing
Waldir Moreira, Paulo Mendes, Susana Sargento

TL;DR
This paper introduces a comprehensive assessment model with a new taxonomy and evaluation guidelines to fairly compare opportunistic routing solutions through simulations.
Contribution
It presents a novel assessment framework including metrics and experimental setup for evaluating opportunistic routing protocols.
Findings
Epidemic, PROPHET, Bubble Rap, and Spray and Wait protocols were evaluated.
The model enables fair comparison of different routing solutions.
Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed assessment approach.
Abstract
This paper proposes an assessment model, based on a new taxonomy, which comprises an evaluation guideline with performance metrics and experimental setup to aid designers in evaluating solutions through fair comparisons. Simulation results are provided based on the proposed model considering Epidemic, PROPHET, Bubble Rap, and Spray and Wait, and showing how they perform under the same set of metrics and scenario
