Note on local-to-global properties of BLD-mappings
Rami Luisto

TL;DR
This paper proves that limits of BLD-mappings between manifolds of bounded geometry are also BLD and share properties with covering maps, including the absence of asymptotic values, using Lipschitz quotient mappings.
Contribution
It introduces a new proof technique for the stability of BLD-mappings under limits and explores their topological properties similar to covering maps.
Findings
Limits of BLD-mappings are BLD.
Such mappings have no asymptotic values.
They share properties with covering maps.
Abstract
We give a proof, based on Lipschitz quotient mappings, for the fact that limits of BLD-mappings between manifolds of bounded geometry are BLD. Furthermore we show that such mappings share some properties of covering maps and especially have no asymptotic values.
